Define Mobile Employee
Explanation
This activity is used to assign a maintenance employee to work as a mobile
user. When this is done, a user is allowed to handle work orders in a mobile
device. A user becomes a mobile user once the check box Mobile user is selected
or when a user activates a mobile device with IFS Mobile application.
Further, it is possible to connect:
- A default travel resource group for the
mobile user so that travel cost will be calculated based on the value of the
travel resource group.
- A default time type for the mobile user so that it will be used by
default in the mobile device when reporting time for work and limits
selecting resource groups only for the ones defined in the time type.
- A default travel time type for the mobile user so that it will be used
by default in the mobile device when reporting time for traveling and limits
selecting resource groups only for the ones defined in the time type.
Prerequisites
To perform this activity:
- The person must have been
connected to a maintenance department.
- Optionally should connected to a
Resource Group.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, you will be able to work as a mobile user,
which allows handling work orders on a mobile device.
Window
Resource Navigator
Procedure
- Open the Resource Navigator
window.
- Click the Maintenance Employee tab and select the relevant employee ID.
- Click the Mobile Employee tab.
- Select the Mobile User check box.
- Optionally enter a
Travel Resource Group, enter a
Default
Time Type and enter a
Default
Travel Time Type . Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
- Save the information (F12).
Note : Select check box Disable Transfer to Mobile, If you need to
disable an employee becoming a mobile user.
