Define Incomplete Cause

Explanation

This activity is used to define incomplete causes applicable for work assignment. When it is not possible to complete the work allocated for a work assignment due to reasons such as; lack of competency, time or spare parts etc. it is possible to set the work assignment to Incomplete status by defining the reason.
To cater this need incomplete causes can be used.

System Effects

The cause for cancellation is created and can be used to cancel maintenance events, work orders, work tasks, work assignments or work task steps.

Procedure

  1. Open the Work Task Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Incomplete Cause tab and create a new record (F5).
  3. Enter a value in the Incomplete Cause field.
  4. In the Description field, enter a short description for the defined incomplete cause.
  5. Save the record (F12).
