Define Criticality Matrix Standard
Explanation
This activity is used to define a new Criticality Matrix Standard for use in performing an RCM Analysis. The registration of the Criticality Matrix and where the Master resides is dependent on which application is used to run your company’s RCM Analysis. Either:
- IFS RCM Toolkit - The RCM Toolkit will define and be the Master of the Criticality Matrix, which in turn will be transferred/updated back in IFS through the IFS RCM Integration module.
(IFS Application process used “Receive RCM Analysis”). Only the Criticality Matrix Standard identifier will be registered in IFS Applications and be identical to the Code used in the IFS RCM Toolkit.
- Third Party RCM Analysis Tool - In this scenario we will capture the Criticality Matrix Standard
manually in IFS Applications.
Complete from Criticality Standard Identifier, Risk Category, Failure Severity and Failure Probability.
Prerequisites
N/A
System Effects
- The Equipment Criticality resulting from the RCM FMECA will be captured and visible per equipment object for each Risk Category.
- The Equipment Criticality value is a multiple of the Failure Severity and Failure Probability
