Connect User to Warehouses
Explanation
This activity is used to connect a user to a warehouse.
If a user is connected to a warehouse this will affect the material reserve and issue
logic in the work tasks.
Prerequisites
- At least one warehouse must exist on any of the
sites to which the user is connected.
System Effects
- When reserving material on a material line connected to a work task
- If the logged in user is connected to a default warehouse the system will try to reserve material on the default warehouse.
-
If the logged in user is connected to one or more warehouses but none of
them are the default, then the automatic reservation will not work. The user can then
reserve manually using the Reserve Manually dialog box,
which is filtered on the user warehouses.
- When issuing material on a material line connected to a work task
- If the
logged in user is connected to a default warehouse the system will try to issue
material on the default warehouse.
-
If the logged in user is connected to one or more
warehouses but none of them are the default, then the automatic issue will not work.
The automatic issue will also not work if the material line is reserved
outside the default warehouse of the user. The user can then issue
manually to the material line where it is reserved, using the
Issue Manually dialog box, which
is filtered on the user warehouses.
