Connect Document

Explanation

Use this activity to connect a document to any object type, e.g., equipment object, work order, preventive maintenance action, purchase order. The connection is done via the Documents link in the Attachment Panel found below the corresponding window.

Procedure

  1. Query for the object to which the document should be connected, in a window for that object.
  2. Click the Attachments tab in the context pane (the Attachment Panel) found below the window.
  3. Click the Documents link.
  4. Right-click in the Documents window and click Attach.
  5. Populate the resulting Attach Document dialog box.    
  6. Select the rows for one or more of the documents and click OK.
  7. Click OK on the message that appears. The documents will be connected and visible in the Documents window.
