Test Template Consistency
Explanation
This is the last activity in the Modification of Template process.
It is always very important to verify that a modified company template is consistent.
Possible reasons why a template might be inconsistent include:
- The template was set as Not Valid during an upgrade to new component releases and then the
template was manually marked as Valid. This may mean that the template has data that is not
longer consistent with the installed component versions.
- A template has been manually modified and all necessary modifications have not been made
to achieve a consistent template.
Prerequisites
A template has been activated (status set to Valid) and/or modified manually.

Procedure
- Create a new company and use the modified template as source for the process.
- If the company was successfully created, then the template is consistent with the current
version of the business logic.
- If errors are reported, then the template is not OK (not consistent). Find reported
errors in the
Create Company Component Log
window (Companies, right-click and then
click Company Log) and correct the template. Remove the created
company and start the Create Company process again.
Continue with this until no errors are reported.
