Define Address Setup

Explanation

Use this activity to define the Address Setup information related to address rows and address fields in the application. This definition can be done per Logical unit (LU).

Prerequisites

Address configuration file must be installed in application.

Note: Address basic data configuration file contain all the address data for installed Logical Units in the application.

System Effects

This activity will effect how addresses are presented in clients and in reports. It will also effect the layout for address registration and editing throughout the application.

Procedure

  1. Open the Address Setup window.
  2. Populate or query to find the required Logical Unit(s). The address setup information applicable to selected logical unit (e.g. CustomerInfoAddress, SupplierInfoAddress, etc.) will show in the table of the window.
  3. On the field User Defined Row Length you can enter the number of characters you want to have for each address row of the selected logical unit.
  4. Select the appropriate address field that you want to have as the Mandatory Address Field from the drop-down list for the selected logical unit. (e.g. Address 1, Address 2, etc.)
  5. Save the information.
