Connect Cost/Revenue Breakdown Structure to Project

Explanation

The cost/revenue breakdown structures that belong to a company can be connected to projects in the same company. Once connected a structure can be used to plan project budgeting and forecasting.

Prerequisites

• A cost/revenue breakdown structure that is in the Active state must exist.
• A project that belongs to the same company as the structure must exist.

System Effects

• The structure will be connected to the project and is to be used for planning in project budgeting and forecasting.

Procedure

From the Project window

1. Open the Project window and query for your project.
2. Enter the relevant structure ID in the CBS ID field. The List of Values will show the structures available for the company.
3. Click Save.

From the Cost/Revenue Breakdown Structure window

1. Open the Cost/Revenue Breakdown Structure window and query for the relevant structure ID.
2. Enter the relevant project ID in the Project ID field. The List of Values will show the projects available for the company.
3. Click Save.
