Test Sales Rules

Explanation

This activity is used to test configuration sales rules so the user is able to configure a product that can actually be produced.

The test of sales rules is divided into two steps:

After test of sales rules for new configuration you will get a complete or incomplete configuration to take further action on.

After test of sales rules for open orders a background job result shows orders which will get configuration problem when the sales rules will be executed.

Procedure

Test Sales Rules:

  1. Open the Sales Rule window and query for the required part configuration revision.
  2. Right-click in the header and then click Test Sales Rules. This will open the Test Sales Rules dialog box.
  3. If you want to apply specific order information for the sales rule configuration test.
  4. Click OK
  5. The configuration window will open and configuration can be tested according to the sales rules.

Test Open Orders:

  1. Open the Sales Rule window and query for the required part configuration revision.
  2. Right-click in the header and then click Test Open Orders. This will open the Test Open Orders dialog box.
  3. In the Revision field specify the number of the configuration specification revision for which the sales rule should be tested on open orders.
  4. Select the check boxes for what type of open orders to include in the test.
  5. Select the Complete Configurations check box when complete configurations connected to the orders should be included in the test.
  6. Select the Incomplete Configurations check box when incomplete configurations connected to the orders should be included in the test.
  7. Click OK.
  8. A background job is started. In the background details the founded incomplete configurations will be listed.
