Define Task Activity
Explanation
This activity is used to define activities for a particular task type. Each
case
task can consist of an activity that should be performed to complete the case task,
e.g., analyze problem, verify correction. The task activity is a template from
which the information is initially copied with no future connection, i.e., any
later changes in the task activity will have no impact on the case task in a case or
case task in a task template.
Pre-selected task activities will be
added to each newly created case. If necessary, you can pre-select a task
activity, select a handover business object for the task activity and indicate
that the handover dialog should be opened when a new case (using this task
activity) is created, thereby minimizing the steps required to perform this
function. Also, you can use this activity to configure the automatic opening of
the Dispatch dialog box for the case tasks, as they are created in the cases.
Prerequisites
A
task type
must have been entered on the
Case Task Basic Data/Task Type tab.

Procedure
- Open the Case Task Basic Data window and click the
Task
Activity tab.
- Create a new record. (F5)
- Enter a value in the Activity field.
- Optionally, enter a description for the task type in the Description
field.
- Enter a value in the Task Type field. Use the
List of Values to enter a suitable value.
- Optionally, enter a number in the LOV Order field to determine the
order in which the task activity will be shown in a List of Values.
- Optionally, select the Pre Selected check box if you wish to
indicate that the task activity is to be automatically added to new cases.
- Optionally, select the Dispatch check box to configure automatic
opening of the Dispatch dialog box for the
case tasks.
- Optionally, select a value for the Handover Business Object
field.
- Optionally, select the Open on
New Cases check box to configure that the handover dialog of the
business object indicated in the Handover Business Object field
should be opened as soon as the case is created (when this particular task
activity is defined as pre-selected for a case or if the task activity is
part of the selected task template)
- Optionally, enter values in the Work Days and Work Hours fields
estimating the time needed for the activity.
- Select a value for the Calculate Date field to indicate how to
calculate the due date for a case task.
- Save the record.(F12)
