Define Case Completion
Explanation
Use this activity to define the case completion categories, that is, the
error connected to a
case, e.g., Network
Failure, Standard Software Error, etc. A case completion category is assigned when the case is completed or
closed by the assignee.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites.
System Effects
- Completion categories will be created.
- Completion categories can be assigned at the time a case is completed or
closed by an assignee.

Procedure
- Open the Case Basic Data window, and click the
Case
Completion tab.
- Create a new record (F5).
- In the Completion field, enter a value. For
example, Network Failure.
- In the Description field, enter a description about the completion
category.
- To set a default case completion for the cases, select the Default check box.
Alternatively, once the records have been saved, you can right-click and
then click Set/Unset
Default to set the selected case completion as the default; thereby
discarding any other default setting.
- To specify the order in which the completion category should appear in a
List of Values, enter a
number greater than zero in the LOV Order field.
- Save the record (F12).
