Load Configuration Template

Explanation

This activity is used to load a predefined configuration for a specific part configuration revision. The configuration template that is retrieved includes a set of different characteristics and option values with quantities. When a template is selected it will overwrite any ongoing configuration with the predefined characteristics and option values. If sales rules are added to the specific part revision, the sales rules will automatically be evaluated. The configuration receives a configuration id during the evaluation process depending on the current configuration and part revision.

Prerequisites

• IFS/Configuration Back Office and IFS/Configuration Characteristic must have been installed.
• A configuration family and the part configuration revision must exist.

System Effects

The result from the load template will result in a configuration with a configuration id.

Procedure

1. On the Configuration window, right-click and then click Load Template. A message will be displayed informing that the current values in the configuration will be overwritten by the template you choose.
2. Click Yes to continue. The Template ID dialog box opens.
3. Select a template from the list and click OK. The selected configuration loads to the Configuration window and you can continue to configure the part.
