Use this activity to manually enter or copy document requirements into a object's document survey. Document requirements specify the types of documents that must be in the survey before the object can be released. The object's document survey must contain all document classes in the document requirement list before the object can be released. When the object is released, it is not possible to change the document requirements.
Engineering Part Standard
The engineering part can be defined with a part class, and the part class can have a document requirement profile. This profile contains a set of the required document classes, and will automatically be copied to the engineering part revision.
Engineering Part Specific
When the profile's standard document requirements set up for
the parts class are unusable, you can create your own tailored document
requirement for this particular engineering part revision. When you manually
insert a new required document class, the document classes from the profile (if
any) are copied into a specific list for this engineering part revision, in
addition to the document requirement you just inserted.
It is only possible to remove document requirements that do not come from the
standard profile. To remove requirements from the standard profile, you must
create a specific document requirement list (by manually inserting a new
document class), and remove the copied standard profiles afterwards.
Removal cannot be done after the engineering part revision is released unless
the engineering part revision is obsolete, in which case all the document
classes required are removed together with the engineering part revision.
