Create Document Package
Explanation
Use this activity to create a document package. Document packages are useful
in the process of document development because you can monitor the (weighted)
average progress of a document package. You can also connect a document package
to an activity in IFS/Project. From the activity you can generate a report about
the weighted progress.
Prerequisites
- A responsible person for the document package must be registered in the
Persons
window.
System Effects
- The document package is created.
- Documents can be connected to the document package.
- The document package can be connected to an activity, and the progress
reported to the activity.

Procedure
- Open the
Document Package window.
- Click New to create an empty record.
- Enter a package ID in the Package field. This field is required and
accepts a maximum of 10 characters.
- Enter a description in the Package Description field. This field
is required and accepts a maximum of 120 characters.
- Enter a person in the Responsible field. This field is required.
Use the List of Values to select and insert a valid value.
- Click Save to save your document package. Values are added
automatically to the Progress, Hours, Date Created, and
Created By fields. You can modify the value in the Date Created
field. Documents can now be added to the package.
