Connect Documents to Transmittal

Explanation

This activity is used to connect documents to a transmittal. A document transmittal may have one or more documents and a document can be connected to more than one transmittal at the same time. The Document Revision/Transmittals tab displays the transmittals that the document is connected to.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, documents must be created in the Document Titleswindow.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the selected documents are connected to the transmittal.

Procedure

  1. Open the Transmittal window and query for the transmittal.
  2. Click the Documents tab.
  3. Select a row, right-click and then click Add Documents. The Add Documents dialog box is opened.
  4. Select the documents to be added and click OK.
  5. Optionally, enter values for the fields given for customer, supplier and sub contractor documents or use the List of Values to select suitable values.
  6. Save the record. (F12)

Note: You can also connect documents in the Transmittal Document Revisions window and in the Transmittal Assistant or select documents in the Document Revisions window and create a transmittal with those document connected.
