Calculate Latest Purchase Price / Average Purchase Price

Explanation

Use this function to calculate the latest purchase price for a selected part or the average purchase price.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• The part must be registered as a purchase part.
• The part must have been purchased.

System Effects

This action will calculate the latest purchase price or the average purchase price.

Note: If the primary supplier check box is selected in the Calulate Purchase Costs dialog, the calculation is performed only for the purchase parts with a primary supplier checked. Here the calculation will only consider the prices of purchases connected to the primary supplier. Also if the same check box is selected and if the purchase part does not have any primary suppliers, then the calculation will exclude such parts.

Procedure

1. Specify, in the Site field, the site for which you want to calculate the purchase price or the average purchase price. You can click List and select the site from the List of Values or enter the desired site.
2. In the Cost Type list box, select Latest Purch Price, if you want to calculate the Latest purchase price.
3. The Cost Type should be Average Purch Price, if you want to calculate the Average purchase price.
4. Specify the date interval within which you want the system to consider the costs in the From Date and To Date fields.
5. Click OK.
