Modify Change Source for Affected Part Groups

Explanation

This activity is used to modify the change source for part groups that require changes to be made on them as a result of suggested changes due to a new IPC revision or manual changes deemed necessary by other configuration change sources. For IPC document change sources, after change sets have been received, the suggested changes to be actioned are displayed on the Configuration Change Source details page and the Part Group details page.

Prerequisites

• Baseline configuration data must be loaded from IFS Maintenix.
• The status of the change source to be set as the active change source should be ReadyforReview or InProgress.

System Effects

• The change source becomes the active change source for the part group.
• If the change source attached to a part group had pending changes, the pending changes are reverted

Procedure

1. Open the Part Group details page for the part group with pending changes.
2. Click Modify Change Source.
3. In the Change Source field, click the drop down list to select the change source for which you want to action changes.
4. Click OK.
