Create IPC Document Revision for Assembly
Explanation
This activity is used to create an IPC Document change source, link it to an
assembly and upload a new IPC document revision. The IPC change source serves as the base to
which assemblies can be linked, in order to effect changes required to a
specific assembly by a new IPC Document revision.
For IPC Documents, you create the IPC Change Source on the IPC
Documents page. An assembly should be added to the IPC Document,
on the Assemblies tab. You can then upload the
new IPC Document Revision by clicking Upload New Revision and
filling in the requested information. At this point,
you can set if you want to generate the baseline to be
sent to the engineering service partner, or you can generate it at a later time
after the upload.
Prerequisites
- Baseline configuration data should be loaded from IFS Maintenix.
System Effects
- An IPC document revision is created and uploaded is in the New status.
- A file of the configuration baseline for a linked assembly will be generated which can
then be submitted to the engineering service partner.
