Action Suggested Changes
Explanation
This activity is used to make changes to part groups based on the changes
suggested by the engineering service partner for a new IPC document revision. Each
suggested
change will be displayed specifying the change to be taken on the part group,
known as the change set type, as well as criticality of the set. You can action a suggested change using one of
the following actions:
- Accept
- Reject
- Manually Action
You can also bulk accept and reject all change sets for a particular change set
type, for all the part groups on a change source, at a time. To do so, the
change set types must have either the Accept or Spot Check criticality. The
initial bulk accept of change sets may take considerable time depending on the
number of changes being accepted for the change set type.
Prerequisites
- The change sets are in the Pending status.
- The status of the IPC document revision must be InProgress.
System Effects
- If you have accepted or rejected all change sets in one go for a
particular change set type, for all the part groups on a change source, the change source becomes the active change source on the part groups.
The status of the change sets is Accepted or Rejected depending on the bulk
action taken.
- With actioning change sets individally, the status of the change set is updated to Accepted,
Rejected or Manually Actioned.
Procedure
To action individual suggested changes on a part group:
- Open the Part Group details page.
- On the Suggested Changes tab, select the
change set that you want to action.
- Click Accept, Reject or
Manually Action.
To action suggested changes by the change set type in
bulk for change set types with Accept or Spot Check criticality:
- Open the Configuration Change Source details page.
- On the Suggested Changes tab, select the change set
type that you want to bulk accept or bulk reject.
- Click Bulk Accept or Bulk Reject.
