Scrap Part at Customer

Explanation

In this activity you can scrap company owned items that currently reside at a customer location. 

Prerequisites

• An exchange line with company owned parts delivered to the customer. The exchange line cannot be approved.

System Effects

• The selected items will be scrapped and removed from our stock at customer.
• A journal note will be created displaying the scrap reason.

Procedure

1. Open the Component Repair Order window and search for a component repair order with exchange lines to scrap.
2. Click the Exchanges tab and locate the exchange line on which the items to scrap have been delivered. 
3. Select the line, right-click and select Scrap at Customer.
4. Enter the quantity to scrap, a scrap cause and a note (optional) in the dialog box.
5. Click OK.
