Select Part Service Contract Line
Explanation
This activity is used when there are two or more part service contract lines in the customer’s
part service contract for the same service type. In this case, no part
service contract ID and part service line number are retrieved to the service type line.
You have to select the part service contract and the part service contract line
that are valid for the specified service type, before saving the service type
line.
Prerequisites
- Service types must have been connected to the repair part.
- A service contract in Active status must exist for the customer.
- The service contract must contain two or more part service lines for
the same service type.
System Effects
A specific part service contract ID and a part service contract line number is
now valid for the service type.

Procedure
- Open the Component Repair Order window and search for an existing component
repair order.
- Click the Repairs tab.
- Select a component repair order line and click on the Service Type tab.
- Create a new record and use the List of Values to select service type.
- In the Contract ID field or the Line No field, use the List of
Values to
select the valid contract line.
- Save.
