Add Standard Template on Work Order

Explanation

This activity is used to manually add a standard template on a work order created from the component repair order line. A manually added standard template is not connected to any service type. If the requirement is to map the transactions from the work list in task template with a service type such as operations, material, tool/equipment, etc., this connection must be established manually.

As a result of this activity, a task template is added to the work order, which is pegged to a component repair order.

Procedure

  1. Open the Component Repair Order window and search for an existing component repair order.
  2. Click the Repairs tab.
  3. Select a component repair order line released to repair with the repair order type Work Order.
  4. Click the Repair Order tab, right-click and then click Work Order. The Prepare Work Order window opens.
  5. Click the Jobs and Templates tab.
  6. Create a new record and use the List of Values to select the task template ID.
  7. Save.

Note: In the Service Type field you can connect the task template to a service type recorded for the component repair order line.
