Copy Previous Valuation
Explanation
Pricing the work performed and material stored on a
contract can be a time consuming job. To assist the person
performing the valuation and to avoid having to enter values for all items, the
values from the previous application will be copied when creating a
new application and when refreshing the contract details. If a previous
application does not exist, the valuation will be set to 0 (zero). In addition, it will be
possible to manually copy the values from the previous application by selecting Copy
Previous Valuation on the application, application lines, and application line
items.
Cancelled applications will not be considered when creating previous
valuations.
Prerequisites
- The application must be in the Planned status.
- The selected items must not have been valued.
- For non cost plus items, both the Valuation Value and
Stored Material fields must be
empty.
System Effects
- Items that are already valued will not get a value copied from the
previous application.
- The work value and stored material will then be copied from the previous
application and the valuation value will be calculated. If the previous
application is certified, it will take the corresponding certified column
values.
- If a previous certified application exists, the new Valuation Work Value
and Valuation Stored Material will automatically be filled in with the values
from previous
Certified Work Value and Certified Stored Material. The Valuation Value will
then automatically be calculated based on the Valuation Work Value and the
current contract line item value. See the Create Application for
Payment activity for details.
- If a previous application that has not been certified exists, the new
Valuation Work Value and Valuation Stored Material will automatically be
filled with the previous Valuation Work Value and Valuation Stored Material.
The Valuation Value will then be automatically calculated based on the
Valuation Work Value and the current contract line item value. See the
Create Application for
Payment activity for details.
- If a previous application does not exist, the Valuation Value and
Valuation
Stored Material will automatically be filled with 0 (zero).
